Pushpa 2 actor Allu Arjun arrested for causing stampede in Hyderabad that claimed the life of a woman, left her son critically injured

This comes barely days after he was charged in relation to the death of a woman in a stampede at the premiere of Pushpa 2 in Hyderabad.

Telugu film actor Allu Arjun was taken into custody by police in alleged relation to a stampede on the occasion of the premiere show of his film Pushpa 2 in Hyderabad on December 4. This fatal accident claimed the life of a woman aged 39 and took the life of her son after leaving him in a critical coma.

Cases were lodged against the management of Sandhya Theatre and Allu Arjun and his security personnel. The local authorities said that they did not receive prior information on the intention of the film team to attend the premiere.

On Friday, Arjun was arrested by police officers from the Chikkadpally police station where the case was lodged. At the time that FIR was made, the Deputy Commissioner of Police for the Central Zone confirmed that a case had been registered under BNS 105 (culpable homicide not amounting to murder), and 118 (1) r/w 3(5) (voluntarily causing hurt or grievous hurt) on the complaint of the deceased woman relatives. The probe continues, and unprecedented measures will be taken against the individuals who contributed to unrest in the hall that caused the death and injuries.
