Ranbir Kapoor has officially been confirmed as the leading man for Dhoom 4. According to a source that was passed on to Pinkvilla on Ranbir Kapoor’s birthday last year, “The Dhoom franchise means a lot to Aditya Chopra, and therefore, it has been rebooted to fit the new generation”. As with all other movies of this franchise, Dhoom 4 or Dhoom Reloaded’s script is being distributed for writing by Aditya Chopra besides Vijay Krishna Acharya. The vision here is to provide an experience with the fourth film in the series like never before has been done.

The source added, “The talks over Ranbir have been on for a long time.” He has expressed a desire to be the part of Dhoom 4 right from the beginning and now that he has heard the basic concept of Dhoom 4 he is on the sets to head the Dhoom series. Adi Chopra thinks so and that should be why he only chose Ranbir to carry on the Dhoom legacy.

Kapoor’s New Avatar in Dhoom 4

The source confident with the updates in the movie to India Today said that “Ranbir will have to get a brand new look for Dhoom 4. Uh, he will complete scenes for two other films before beginning this one, that’s amazing, sir. The fourth instalment in the Dhoom series is likely to go on floors in April next year. The production team is still in the process of looking for the last two female characters as well as the antagonist in the film. Some rumors even pointed that the antagonist could be cast from the South film industry.”

Ranbir comes clean on Animal’s slur

Ranbir’s recent movie Animal which is one of the biggest grossers in India has raised many issues from gets section of the audience following personalities like Javed Akhtar, Swanand Kirkire, and Kangana Ranaut etc.

Now, Ranbir has responded to the trolls and said that there were some people who were not happy with his acting skills. The candidates were extremely active, and social media really drove the discussion. It has always puzzled me why people required a hype and therefore came up with extreme statements that it was a misogynistic film. It’s hard to focus on all the effort that is put in a movie when individuals receive such reactions. I know that the director of the movie Kabir Singh also received booking for similar criticism. For that reason, it can be quite frustrating when the effort that people put is reduced.”
