Adani Green Energy Ltd’s stock climbed 7.35% to ₹1,080 after the company commissioned a 57.2 MW wind power project, taking its total operating renewable power capacity to 11,666.1 MW. The company , for instance, recently revealed it had enhanced it operational capacity by 37% during the first nine months of FY25 on the strength of solar and wind energy projects.

The shares of Adani Green Energy further risen on January 15, 2020, by jumping 7.35% and trading at ₹1,080 per share on market winds major boosters. The stock is on the rise for the second day in a row after it jumped by 13.16 percent on Tuesday. This means that the two-day increased is an impressive 20%.
Wind Power Commission increases installed capacity.
On Tuesday, through an exchange filing, the company revealed that Adani Renewable Energy Forty Eight – the group’s renewable arm – has grid connected and commissioned a 57.2 MW wind power component of the wind-solar hybrid project in Khavda, Gujarat. Overall, this addition takes the company’s renewable generation operational capacity to 11,666.1MW.

In another filing, Adani Green Energy released its operational capacity data of FY 25 and up to the 9th months of the year, which stood at 11,609 MW, a 37 % YoY figure. This growth was mainly due to green field addition where addition of 2693 MW was from solar and 438 MW from wind solar power project.
Key Projects and Pro forma Energy Sales Growth
Some of the crucial achievements during this period include successful grid connectivity of 2,113 MW solar power plant at Khavda in Gujarat, and 580 MW at Rajasthan. Further, 312 MW and 126 MW of wind capability was commissioned at Khavda, Gujarat. As a result, energy sales have been boosted by 23% of YoY reaching to 20,108 million units in 9M FY25due to strong capacities.
The generating capacity of Adani Green Energy has registered a consistent growth over the last four years with the growers at 49% CAGR with a merch share.
Long-Term Agreements: The Current and Future abbreviations
In the same year, the company entered into Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with MSEDCL for acquisition of solar power 5,000 MW for the next 25 years.

Renewable Energy Scenario in India in 2024
India remains an attractive market for renewable energy manufacturers where in 2024 24.5 GW of solar and 3.4 GW of wind power new capacity was installed, according to JMK research. This is over two times of solar additions and 21% higher than wind addition compared to year 2023. The new solar capacity installed in 2024 is the highest in any given year so far. According to the Ministry of Power, as of December 2024, total renewable energy capacity of India touched 209.44 GW of the total power capacity of 462 GW and renewable energy accounts for nearly 45 percent in the total scenario.
