It was AAP Chief Arvind Kejriwal who said on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, that the forthcoming Delhi Assembly elections will unveil the so-called ‘jugalbandi’ between the Congress and BJP.

- Kejriwal said that as soon as he said one line on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, the BJP woke up.
- He focused on the BJP fight and said it would reveal the secret alliance that Congress and the BJP have been having for so many years.
- Such a perspective was expressed by Kejriwal on March 31 using X (formerly Twitter).

- Addressing an election campaign meeting at Seelampur on Monday, the Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi had attacked both Modi and Kejriwal for their procrastination over the debate on caste census.
- Gandhi also alleged that they do not want to talk about rights of the backward communities, Dalits, tribals and minorities.
- He directly threatened Kejriwal saying he has been continuing with Modi’s ‘agenda of propaganda and false promises’ when the residents of Delhi continue to live in a place with worsening pollution, corruption, and inflation.
Response of Kejriwal on criticism by Gandhi
- The AAP chief retorted by stating that Gandhi’s interest was in saving his own party and that he Kejriwal was saving the country.
- Kejriwal also accused Gandhi of verbally assaulting him.
AAP and Congress in Delhi Elections 3
AAP and Congress have single digit winning percentage in Loksabha election in Delhi while contesting together in the year 2024. However, both parties are now in the new Delhi Assembly elections and the scheduled elections will be held on February 5, 2025.
