Delhi Chief Minister Atishi today inaugurated a new flyover to link Anand Vihar and Apsara Border on Thursday. This flyover is expected to give much needed relief to the traffic congestion on the East and North East Delhi.
The new infrastructure is in effect to reduce traffic constrains blocking lanes ensuring lakhs of commuters and pedestrians benefit daily. Atishi also stressed on the fact that the proposed said flyover would be advantageous in cutting through three signal points hence reducing the time and the amount that is spent of time of vehicles that ply through the area.
She further added, “The flyover connecting Anand Vihar and Apsara Border has been commissioned today. This place has been one of the most traffic-prone zones which prior to the formation of East and North East Delhi. Before, traffic through this part simply took hours when in the peak time, then concerns of residents and workers in the area were most of the time affected.
“This flyover will speak to the traffic issues in the region, time for the people, fuel and emission of carbon di oxide that is harbingers of pollution in the city,” she stated.
