India is planning to realize big leap in space annexation it has prepared for its own sourrounding space station Bharat Antariksha Station by 2035 and an Indian astronaut is declared to enplane to the lunar surface for the first time within 2040 said Union Minister of State for Science and Technology and Space Jitendra Singh on Wednesday.
New Delhi [India], December 11 (ANI): India is on the verge of realizing major accomplishments in the space field as Indian Space Research Organisation targets at constructing the Indian space station – Bharat Antariksha Station – by 2035, landing an Indian astronaut on the moon by 2040, said Jitendra Singh, Union Minister of State for Science & Technology and Space on Wednesday.
Speaking to the media at the science and technology ministries’ annual performance review, Singh highlighted India’s aggressive space projects. Indeed, African countries will have their own space station, joining what the United States and a handful of other countries have at the moment. It will also be recognized as Bharat Antariksha Station between 2014 and 2035. By 2040, our aspirations include bringing an Indian astronaut to the surface of the lunar,” he said.
**Some of the Developments on the Gaganyaan Mission
He also gave the latest on Gaganyaan, India’s first human spaceflight mission. He assured the nation that the first Indian astronaut will be sent to space by the end of 2024 or 2026 at the latest.
At the same time, also under India’s Deep Sea Mission, the potential of rosette publishing to the seabed and sending manned submersible up to 6000 meter deep is under discussion. “By 2026, alongside Gaganyaan, we are going to take an individual to the seabed which may probably go to the extreme depth of the seas,” Singh added.
**Improvements inthe Conduction of Satellite Launches
The minister also spoke about India’s increasing competence in satellite missions and said while addressing the crowd that India has put 432 foreign satellites on orbit through Sriharikota. Of these, 397, without including the rest, have been developed in the last decade alone.
Biotechnology SPE & Marine exploration
Singh also talked about India’s Biotechnology E3 policy which is aimed at stimulating economic development, employment opportunities, and protection of environment. He defined bio-economy as one of the most critical industries for spearheading the forthcoming industrial revolution that trailed the IT revolution.
While on marine exploration, Mr.Singh again stressed on deep sea mission which is meant for discovering the marine wealth of India. The has been one of the recurring features in Prime Minister Modi’s Independent’s Day speeches, essential for strategic intent recognition.
**Vision 2047
India’s initiatives in space, biotechnology and ocean etc reflect its plans that it wants to make India a technology giant by 2047.
