Mahakumbh 2025 Begins: A Grand Spiritual Gathering

The 45-day Mahakumbh Mela 2025 which is one of the biggest humiliations for the Earth started early Monday being more on the day of Paush Purnima. Around 1.5 crore (15 lakh) devotees will be expected to bathe at Triveni Sangam, the confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna and the mythical Saraswati and the arrangements will be always on a higher alert.

1. Commencement with Shahi Snan
   It started with ‘Shahi Snan’ on Paush Purnima and correlated with a celestial event that happens only in 144 years. Again the Triveni Sangam seen a large gathering of pilgrims impatient to perform one of significance of Kumbh Mela.
2. Dates and important rituals at end
   The Mahakumbh Mela will end on 26thFebruary. Significant bathing rituals, including ‘Shahi Snans,’ are scheduled for the following dates:

• January 14 (Makar Sankranti)
• January 29 (Mauni Amavasya)
• February 3 (Basant Panchami)

   Capt congratulated the Chief Minister for selecting Mahakumbh 2025 as a spiritual and cultural event focusing on spiritualism, culture, and tradition of the state and inviting global population to take stock of Indian tradition.
4. Yagy for Preservation of River Ganga
   On the occasion of Mahakumbh, one day prior to the fair, a grand ‘yagya’ was performed at Sangam. More than 200 volunteers and thousands of people participated in this event and took oath to safeguard the purity and the currents of Ganga.
5. Enhanced Safety Measures
   Water policemen and other calamity groups, entertain contingency services in order to protect the believers in the course of the rituals.
6. Implementing in Traffic Management and QR Code Technology
   Sophisticated traffic measures have been adopted in relation to transportation of vehicles. Also, to aid the pilgrims to locate their positions and report any nuisance on electricity more than fifty thousand QR codes have been provided in the Maha Kumbh area.

8. Healthcare Centers present on nh-19
   To cater the devotees, Three hospitals have been established for the devotees coming on the National Highway 19 in Bhadohi District. All these facilities will be fully operational by January 14.
