Sale of Platform Tickets in Delhi Restricted Following New Delhi Railway Station Stampede

To Control Crowds, New Delhi Railway Stations to Suspend Platform Ticket Sales from 4 PM to 11 PM for One Week, Announces Northern Railways

To help manage the crowds, platform tickets will not be sold at New Delhi railway stations between 4 PM and 11 PM for the next week. Himanshu Shekhar Upadhyay, CPRO of Northern Railways, said, “The sale of platform tickets will be stopped during these hours at New Delhi Railway Station for the next week to control the crowd.”
