PM Modi in US Live: Talks Take Place Amid Tensions Over Tariffs, Trump’s Gaza Peace Plan, and Mass Deportations of Illegal Immigrants
PM Modi Visits Washington DC for Talks With President Trump
Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Washington DC on Thursday (local time) for a meeting with US President Donald Trump. He also met US intelligence chief Tulsi Gabbard.
This meeting comes at a time when tensions are rising due to Trump’s trade tariffs on several countries, his controversial Gaza peace plan, and the mass deportation of illegal immigrants. These topics are expected to be discussed as both leaders work to strengthen their relationship.
PM Modi is the fourth world leader to meet Trump at the White House since he started his second term on January 20. Before him, Trump has already welcomed Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Japan’s Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba, and Jordan’s King Abdullah.
