Delta Plane Crash: Passengers Left Hanging After Plane Flips Upside Down
A Delta Air Lines plane crash-landed at Toronto Airport and flipped upside down, leaving passengers “hanging like bats.” The crash caused injuries to 18 people, including a child, who were quickly taken to hospitals. Thankfully, there were no deaths.
Flight Attendant Helps Passengers Escape
A video shared online by a passenger shows a flight attendant guiding passengers to safety. The crew helped passengers crawl out of the plane through open exit doors. In the video, the flight attendant can be heard saying, “Leave everything. Drop it,” while helping passengers exit. Even though she instructed them to leave personal items behind, some passengers were seen leaving with their bags.
Delta CEO’s Statement
Delta CEO Ed Bastian shared his thoughts on the incident, saying, “The hearts of the entire global Delta family are with those affected by today’s incident at Toronto-Pearson International Airport. I want to express my thanks to the many Delta and Endeavor team members and the first responders on site. We are working to confirm the details.”
