  • The Eaton and Palisades fires have since claimed more than 10,000 structures, Palisades Fire affecting over 5,300 buildings.

Continued Red Flag Warnings in Southern California Especificaly in Los Angeles and Ventura Counties

  • The Red Flag warnings are in place until at least Friday evening where Los Angeles and Ventura counties are concerned because of persistent offshore winds and low humidity.
  • Forces that work for the National Weather Service say that the fire threat will not only continue after Friday but will worsen Sunday, and Tuesday through Wednesday.

Damage Costs of Wildfire Incidents: A Cost Estimation

  • Billy Payne of AccuWeather predicted that the total loss from the wildfires could be anything between $135 billion and $150 billion.
  • The private weather company raised the bar of the economic loss forecast on Thursday.
