Veteran BJP Leader Lal Krishna Advani Admitted in Apollo Hospital in New Delhi

The former deputy Prime Minister and veteran BJP leader Lal Krishna Advani has been critically hospitalized at Apollo Hospital New Delhi. The officials at the hospital have said that the man is reported to be in a stable condition and is likely to be observed keenly.

Wu is currently under the treatment of 96-year-old leader from Dr. Vinit Suri who confirmed the news to the news agency PTI.

This is the second time in the current year that Advani has been admitted in this particular hospital, and he was admitted two days ago. It is still unknown why he recently had to be admitted.

Advani’s Political Journey
Lal Krishna Advani was born in karachi on November 8th 1927. He joined Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) at the age of 14 years and thereafter due to partition moved to India with family.

Thus in 1951 Advani joined the Bharatiya Jana Sangh which was established by Syama Prasad Mookerjee. He entered there as a member of the Rajya Sabha in 1970 and was chosen presidency of the party in 1972. In the Emergency of 1975 also Advani was arrested by police along with his party comrade Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

After the Janata Party wrestled power from the Emergency rulers in 1977 with Morarji Desai as Prime Minister, Advani was made the information and broadcasting minister. In 1980, he was indeed one of the promoters of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

Advani is accredited with changing the BJP plight of polling only two in the general elections of 1984 to one of the two prominent national parties of the 1990s. The BJP owes its rise to popularity to his leadership of the Ram Janmabhoomi movement, which sought to build a Ram temple in Ayodhya.

He has officated its president thrice and was responsible for deputy prime minister and home minister in Atal Bihari Vajpayee NDA government.
