In the Rajya Sabha, BJP President and Union Health Minister JP Nadda complained of the Opposition’s disregard of the Standing Orders. In response to Congress Leader Mallikarjun Kharge remarks on the chairman, Nadda considered them vulgar and denounced them. He also accused a senior Congress leader of insulting the chairman in the past while questioning the party’s democratic credentials.
Nadda criticized Sonia Gandhi for her links to George Soros, who, according to the prime minister, financial operations are aimed at forcing the country to change. This led to protest Where ladies sitting in the House included Sonia Gandhi.
Opposition’s Response
Derek O Brien of Trinamool Congress rubbished BJP and Congress and said the need of the hour is to utilize the Parliament to discuss public matters such as unemployment, price rise and the incident in Manipur.
