Besides, after the affirmative nod for the vote transfer from Avadh Ojha, the AAP is now all set for a stiff battle in the Delhi Assembly Elections. Thus, with the ECIs approval, Avadh stepped up taking up the AAP candidature in the Delhi Assembly Elections that are slated for 2025, got his vote shifted from Greater Noida to Delhi. This decision came after the AAP leaders, National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal and Delhi Chief Minister Atishi and EC officials sat down for a meeting on 13th January, 2025. This vote transfer is very crucial for Ojha as he is the AAP candidate from the Patparganj constituency which he won replacing Manish Sisodia.
Avadh Ojha: A Renowned Name in UPSC Coaching
Avadh Ojha as we all know he carries out his business of IAS coaching based in Gonda district of Uttar Pradesh. He has a sizeable following particularly students preparing for the UPSC civil service examination. Fondly called as “Ojha Sir” among his students now has more than 20 lakh followers on Instagram. Though he has certain limitations in attempts to clear civil services examination, yet he succeeded in teaching UPSC and got popularity for his special innovative techniques.
Ojha’s father wanted him to become a bureaucrat, so he passed his civil services exam and didn’t succeed he shifted to teaching after completing his early education from Fatima School, Gonda. He started his political journey in December 2024, for which he contested for AAP to become a member of the Patparganj constituency.
Vote Transfer: Kejriwal’s declaration on EC ok
On Monday the self-styled activist, Arvind Kejriwal even addressed the media after the Election Commission’s approval. Just one good news is that the EC has agreed to transfer the vote of Avadh Ojha. But his vote will be prepared in Delhi, and he will be able to file his nomination, Kejriwal said. This decision was a big plus in the preparation of the candidate for the forthcoming elections.
Earlier, Kejriwal had moved objections against Ojha’s declaration form submitted on December 26, 2024 by Form 6. The AAP leader had also complained about the opening of the uncertainty whether the application has been accepted or not regarding Ojha’s registration with the EC.

Kejriwal Thanks Delhiites for Support and Outlines Issues
In his post-meeting briefing they talked about how Arvind Kejriwal even thanked the Election Commission for agreeing to shift the poll on their request. He also expressed concerns on the alleged that BJP MPs have filed multiple applications for a new voter registration in the New Delhi Assembly constituency.
In Kidwai Nagar, blankets had been distributed, shoes and jackets were distributed, money was distributed, spectacles distributed. In this also, the Election Commission has assured the activities such as polling will be stopped and so on, and so, we are very thankful to the Election Commission for their response … Kejriwal further said while emphasising on the election malpractice issues of the party.
Delhi Assembly Expires Next Year
The Delhi Assembly Elections will be held on February 5, 2025, and for the Assembly’s new term, the results were to be announced on February 8, 2025.
