Amir of Qatar’s Visit to India

The Amir of Qatar arrived in India on Monday evening for a two-day state visit. The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) stated that his visit would boost the strong and growing partnership between the two countries.

Discussions on Key Bilateral Issues

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Amir of Qatar held important discussions at Hyderabad House, covering various topics related to bilateral relations.

Exchange of Agreements

Indian External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar and Qatar’s Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani exchanged the strategic partnership agreement.

Additionally, a revised agreement was also exchanged between India and Qatar. This agreement aims to avoid double taxation and prevent tax evasion related to income taxes. It was exchanged between India’s Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and the Prime Minister of Qatar during the official ceremony at Hyderabad House.
