When asked about the death threats against him Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Arvind Kejriwal quoted Sant Kabir’s famous verse. Some of the commuters who encountered Kejriwal at Hanuman Temple Delhi asked him about the intelligence reports that indicate a threat to his life.

Bharatiya Janata Party has alleged through media channels including India Today reports that intelligence agencies have alerted the Delhi police about some anti-Khalistani, pro-Kejriwal elements. Informatives point to the idea that this time the suspects might be preparing to attack the former Delhi Chief Minister.
On Wednesday Kejriwal paid a visit to the Valmiki temple and the Hanuman temple in Delhi. Next, he went to Office of his party and submitted nomination papers to contest in 2025 Delhi Assembly polls. On X Kejriwal declared that he would file his nomination papers from New Delhi assembly constituency.
In the forthcoming Delhi election which will be held in the year 2025 Kejriwal will contest against Parvesh Verma of BJP and Sandeep Dikshit of Congress for New Delhi seat.
Delhi polls are scheduled for February 5 and counting for the same is to be held on February 8. The last date for receiving nominations is January 17 ; scrutiny of the nominations is on January 18; while last date for withdrawal of candidatures is January 20.
Although AAP contested against all three main national parties in the 2020 Delhi elections, AAP got mandatorily twenty-seven double digits out of seventy, ending up with 62, while BJP managed to get only 8 of them out of 72. At the same time, the Congress which has been ruling the country in one form or the other for the last fifteen years has not secured even a single seat in the last two elections.
